Ronald H. Artiles, age 74, of Plainfield, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 in the Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ. Born on July 7, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Anibal and Anna Marie (Barrella) Artiles.

Mr. Artiles honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He received his Master's degree in computer engineering from Penn State University. He worked as a computer programmer for Bell Labs and other companies in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Artiles enjoyed camping, cooking, biking, and running. He listened to classical music, and would attend MusikFest in Bethlehem and countless concerts throughout the years. An avid woodworker, he enjoyed creating and refinishing furniture.

Mr. Artiles is survived by two sons, Gregory, husband of Erica Artiles and Dr. Rodney, husband of Camilla Artiles; two grandchildren, Owen and Linden Artiles; one sister, Zonia "Sunny", wife of Thomas Dougherty of Royersford, PA; one niece and five nephews, Jennifer, wife of Michael Whoriskey, Matthew, husband of Cheyonne Liebman, Daniel A. Liebman, David, husband of Amanda Dougherty, Andrew, husband of Michelle Dougherty, and Stephen, husband of Nicole Dougherty; and many great-nieces and nephews. Mr. Artiles was preceded in death by one sister, Monica B. Liebman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00am. Officiating will be Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
