Ronald C. Houck, 75, of Quakertown and formerly Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 30, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Mary Anne (Kuchma) Houck who died in 2004 and Connie Knechel Houck, whom he married in October 2007.
Ronald was born in Honey Brook, a son of the late Chester and Irma (Cairns) Houck. He was a 1951 graduate of Warwick High. Ronald served his country honorably in the US Navy. ?He recently retired from PennDOT as a Central Office Review Appraiser after 18 years of service.
He was a member of the Lamplighters and Old Friends Clubs, both of Phoenixville and FOCUS group at Church of the Saviour in Wayne. He was also a member of Church of the Saviour in Wayne and previously Calvary Bible Church in Phoenixville.
In addition to his wife, Connie Knechel Houck and her loving family, he is survived by a daughter, Rhonda A. Hahn and husband Jerry, of Landenberg, PA; grandson, Austin Hahn; sisters: Lorraine McAfee and husband William Sr., of Pottstown, Dona Kieffer and husband James, of Honey Brook, and Sandy Schaffer and husband David, of Pottstown; brother Harold Houck and wife Margaret, of Wagontown. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Miriam Feiler, Pauline Houck, Violet Oxier and Virginia Hurst and brothers, Gerald, Kenneth and Gilbert Houck.
His Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Bible Church, Phoenixville on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11AM. Calling time is from 10AM till 11AM. Internment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
