Ronald F. Sweet, age 78, husband of Deborah Sweet of Phoenixville, PA passed away on
Monday, September 30, 2024, at Phoenixville Hospital.
Ronald was born in Jeddo, PA on May 14, 1946. He was the son of Steven and Mary
(Kopczynski) Sweet. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Clement, Edward, Steven, Stella, Albert and survived by siblings Patsy, Bernice and Theodore.
He is survived by his wife , Deborah Sweet and 4 children Angela Sweet, Tamara Fogal, William Soos, and Ronald Sweet Jr., 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Ronald was a US Army veteran who served in Vietnam War, as a communications specialist and honorably discharged in 1971. Ronald was a Police Officer, serving 31 years for the Phoenixville Borough Police Department.
After he retired from the Police Dept, and he was employed by the US Veteran's Dept as a transport driver at the Southeastern Veteran's Center. He often remarked that he loved his work there, being surrounded by and serving other veterans and their families.
Ronald was an avid golfer, Eagles fan and beloved father, grand and great-grandfather.
He was active in local charity, fundraiser golf tournaments, annual toy drives and playing Santa Claus at the VFW.
Funeral services are being handled by Ennis -Campbell-Klotzbach Funeral Services on Main St. Flowers may be sent to the Campbell -Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family charitable donations be made to https://www.garysinisefoundation.org.
Services will be held on Monday October 7, 2024, at St Ann's Chapel 604 Main St Phoenixville, PA.
The public may visit with family and friends at the St. Ann's Chapel at 10:00 am with the Funeral Mass following at 11:00 am, immediately following to St. Ann's Cemetery on Pothouse Rd.
