Ruth M. (Detwiler) DeWalt, age 86, wife of the late Carl E. "Norm" DeWalt, of Lower Pottsgrove Township, PA, formerly of Royersford, PA, died Tuesday morning, October 28, 2014 in her home. Born in Collegeville, PA, she was a 1946 graduate of the Collegeville High School. Mrs. DeWalt worked for over 50 years at the Collegeville Flag Company. She was one of the first employees and was currently still employed at the Target in Upper Providence.

Mrs. DeWalt is survived by one daughter: Gloria J., wife of David A. Hicks, Sr., of Sanatoga, PA; three grandchildren: David A. Hicks, Jr., husband of Kelly Hicks; Michelle L., wife of Brian M. Hurst; Kevin S. Hicks; five great grandchildren: David A. Hicks, III; Gabriel C. Hicks; Emma R. Hicks; Madison A. Hicks; Matthew D. Hicks; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. DeWalt was pre-deceased by two siblings: Harold Detwiler and Elizabeth Kime.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at 10:30AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul W. Thornhill. Burial will be held privately in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 10:30AM Saturday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Limerick Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, P.O.
