Ruth A. Faunce, 88, wife of the late Wesley H. Faunce, II, of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 in Seasons Hospice. Born on October 19, 1929 in Douglassville, she was a daughter of the late Florence (Myers) and Harold Andrews.
An artist, Ruth painted with watercolor and her work was shown and sold in area art shows. Sales from her artwork was tithed to her Church. She was an avid bridge player, and liked animals and sports, particularly Penn State Football and Villanova Basketball. Ruth was especially caring and generous to her family, but as a generous person in general, she often supported her Church, the Wounded Warrior Project and the SPCA.
Ruth is survived by her children: Lorraine F. Heinz, wife of John Heinz, of Chester Springs and Wesley H. Faunce, III, husband of Letitia Faunce, of Fort Myers, FL; seven grandchildren: John, Daniel, Stephanie, Kathryn, David, Alexis and Alina; and two great-grandchildren: Dashiell and Calliope. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Dolores Cannon and Jeanetta Muckefuse.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 South Main Street, Phoenixville, on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Young. Friends will be received from 11:00 am - 11:30 am.
