Ruth Mabel Lessig, age 92, wife of the late Lewis Lessig, of Reading, PA, formerly of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in the Berkshire Center, Reading, PA. Born on June 29, 1926 in Weissport East, PA, she was a daughter of the late Christian and Mabel (Keiper) Stout.

Mrs. Lessig was a graduate of Norristown High School. Following graduation, she went to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and eventually as a flag maker for the Dettra Flag Company in Oaks, PA. Caring for her family was her main focus, and she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and reading. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Phoenixville.

Mrs. Lessig is survived by one daughter, Darlynn, wife of the late Gurney Biehl of Reading, PA; one granddaughter, Kristine Biehl. She was preceded in death by one son, David Lessig.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at the Green Tree Cemetery, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks, PA 19456 on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Raymond Jachowski. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. John's United Church of Christ, 315 Gay Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
