Ruth F. Nichols, 97, formerly of Audubon, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at Parkhouse Providence Pointe after a recent illness. She was the widow of Alonzo T. Nichols who died in 1987.
She was born in Rockdale, PA a daughter of the late Byrd and Frances (Howe) Baldwin. Ruth was a homemaker. She was also a devoted member of Pawling Independent Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 45 years as well as the Good News Club. Among her other interests were her family, reading, traveling, and gardening.
She is survived by a daughter: Jeanne, wife of Lewis Hain, of Oaks, PA; son: A. Thomas, husband of Catherine Nichols, of Phoenixville, PA; sister: Florence, wife of Walter Kusy, residents of Parkhouse Providence Pointe, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by five brothers and one sister.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11 AM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main St. at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. Calling time is from 9:30 to 11 AM. Burial will follow in Green Tree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pawling Independent Baptist Church, 513 Pawlings Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
