Ruth (Reitnour) "Peep" Sponagle, age 86, wife of the late James R. Sponagle, of Lower Pottsgrove, formerly of Royersford, died suddenly Friday evening, February 15, 2008 in the Sanatoga Center, Lower Pottsgrove.? Born in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late G. Newton and Annie K. (Weaver) Reitnour.? She was a graduate of and played field hockey for the former? Spring City High School.? She worked from 1967 - 1972 at the Valley Forge Army Hospital, then worked for the Oaks Post office until retiring in the early 1980's.? She was a very dedicated member of the St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Chester Springs, PA.

Mrs. Sponagle is survived by one daughter; Ruth A., wife of the late Arnold Graul, of Spring City, PA, one son; Ronald I. Stiles, Jr, husband of Linda (McElroy) Stiles, of Reading, PA, one sister; Florence "Sis" Wilson, of Elverson, four grandchildren; David A. Graul, Donna J. Graul, Ronald I. Stiles, III, Robin L. Drowne, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.? Mrs. Sponagle was pre-deceased by two brothers; Donald Howard Reitnour, and George Newton "Bill" Reitnour, Sr.??
?Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, 2350 Conestoga Road (Rt. 401), Chester Springs, PA 19425 on Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 at 11:00AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Caleb D. Harms.? Burial will be held privately in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Parker Ford, PA.? Friends will be received from 7:00 - 8:30 PM, Wednesday evening at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA or from 10:00 - 10:45AM, Thursday morning at the Church.?
