A member of St. James Lutheran Church, she was a former Sunday school teacher at both St. James Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church. Ruth was an avid reader, enjoyed painting, shopping, and traveling, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, Mrs. Dabback is survived by two daughters: Pat wife of Fred Kaier of Phoenixville and Katherine wife of Ernest Faust of Royersford; two sons: Peter husband of Doré Dabback of Phoenixville and John husband of Cynthia Dabback of East Coventry; two sisters: Barbara Stipa of Royersford and Joan Stewart-Hall of Birdsboro, eight grandchildren; 1 great grandchild (another on the way); and several nieces and nephews.
