Samuel C. Fitzgerald, 87, husband of the late Claire Fitzgerald, of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his residence. Born on August 1, 1931 in Abington PA, he was the son of the late Edith (Ramsey) Fitzgerald.

Mr. Fitzgerald was employed as a drafting engineer for Container Corporation for many years designing machines that made folds in beer boxes. He was a member of the Valley Forge Flying Club, loved to boat and crab on the Chesapeake Bay and eat blue claw crabs.

Samuel is survived by his children: Cindy Walk, of Herndon, VA, Patricia Howard, of Southampton, NJ, Shirley Gordon, of Marlton, NJ, Samuel C. Fitzgerald, Jr., of Hatfield, PA and Cliff, husband of Andrea Fitzgerald, of North Wales, PA; step-children: Marybeth, wife of Craig Brower, of Douglassville, PA, Richard Jones, of FL and Michael Jones, of FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:30PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph W. Owens. Friends will be received from 2:00 - 2:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
