Obituary

Sandra H. (Gilmore) Bean, age 67, wife of the late Joseph H. Bean, of of Spring City, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at home. Born on August 21, 1955 in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lynn K. and Helen R. (Allen) Gilmore.

Mrs. Bean was a graduate of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. She retired from the Spring-Ford School District as a school custodian.

Mrs. Bean was heavily active with Rolling Thunder©, Inc., of which prior to his passing her husband served as National President and she served as the First Lady for the past 8 years. She was a member of Chapter 1 in Pennsylvania. She also helped support several organizations such as Philadelphia Stand Down, Tunnels for Towers, and the New Freedom Farm in Buchannon, VA, which helps veterans going through therapies.

In addition to her love of riding motorcycles with her husband, Mrs. Bean also enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, and trips to the casino. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her fish pond, and above all else, spending time with her grandson Sammie.

Mrs. Bean is survived by one son, Joseph L., husband of Cheryl Bean; one grandson, Sammie; three siblings, Sharon, wife of Roger Gould, Lynn, husband of the late Diane Gilmore, and David, husband of Laura Gilmore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary, wife of the late Jack Robinson and Jo Anne, wife of George Butcher; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Jason J. Bean.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. David R. Willauer. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden on Memories. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening, December 12, 2022 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am - 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research by visiting www.MichaelJFox.org/donate.
