Sara M. (Hayes) Fry, age 101, of Souderton, formerly Royersford, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in the Souderton Mennonite Home.? She was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Fry, Sr.? Born in Doylestown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Wismer) Hayes.?
Mrs. Fry graduated from Doylestown High School in 1926 and from West Chester Normal School in 1928.? She was a substitute teacher in the Spring-Ford School District for more than 10 years, and was a member of the First U.C.C. of Royersford. She was also a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest No. 34 Ladies Auxiliary, the Humane Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and the Eastern Star Spring-Ford Chapter #518.? ?
?Mrs. Fry is survived by daughter Carolyn wife of Henry "Jake" Gottshall of Royersford, son Benjamin F., Jr., husband of Grace (Shantz)?Fry of Spring City, Seven Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren, and three Great-Great-Grandchildren.? She was preceded in death by five sisters and brothers and a great-grandchild.? ?
