Scott Derek Poorman, age 49, loving companion of the late Michelle Stitt, passed away on September 16, 2020 at their home in Royersford, Pennsylvania. Born on January 23, 1971 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Kenneth R. and the late Donna (Bonnell) Poorman.
In addition to his father Kenneth and step-mother Diane Hansberry, Scott was survived by his daughters, Crystal Scheponik and Diana Poorman; one son, Derek Hudson (fiancee Tamera); two step children, Troy Stitt and Kristin Stitt; and one brother, Kenneth A. Poorman. Scott was also preceded in death by his brother, Randall C. Poorman.
Scott attended Phoenixville High School and was a machinest, welder and steelworker most of his life. Growing up he always enjoyed heading out with friends to go cliff jumping, and he enjoyed rock music and art. Scott loved his job as an iron worker and was a very close friend with his boss, Shawn Evans, for over 20 years. He enjoyed hiking and very large fire pits, and had a collection of knives and crystals. Scott was loyal to his friends and family.
Relatives and friends will be invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Friday November 6, 2020 at 7:00PM. Officiating will be the Deacon George Harmansky. Relatives and friends may call from 6:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home prior to the services. Interment will be private.
