Obituary

Sheila A. Connolly (b. March 13, 1944), wife of James P. Connolly, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel H. Jr., and Anne (Lafferty) Geiger.

Sheila dedicated her life to extending kindness, love, and encouragement to family and friends. As a career nurse, Sheila's benevolent spirit carried through to her work with patients as well, particularly the children and families under her care at All Star Pediatrics in Exton, PA, where she served until retirement. She was a proud grandmother, cherishing all the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed travel, good books, vacations in Wildwood, NJ, and love for dogs.

Sheila was a graduate of St. Hubert's High School in Philadelphia and of Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Spring City, PA.

Sheila will be remembered as a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She is survived by five children, Erin K. Connolly of Wayne, PA, Sean P., husband of Lisa Connolly of Collegeville, PA, Brendan M. Connolly of Bristol, PA, Kerry C., wife of Nicholas Tier of Collegeville, PA, and Kevin J. Connolly, husband of Rachel Polish of Doylestown, PA.; five grandchildren, Aiden, Taylor, Catherine, Paige, and Tessa; and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel H. Geiger III.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Charles R. O'Hara. Friends will be received from 9:00 - 10:45 AM at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
