Shirley A. (Stewart) Conover, age 74, wife of William R. Conover of North Coventry, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024 in her residence. Born on November 23, 1949 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Jane R. (Walker) and Samuel Stewart.

Shirley had been employed as a client service representative in the virology laboratory at GlaxoSmithKline. She was an excellent fisherman who would consistently outfish her husband. She had a sensitive touch with the fishing line and never let her bait sit.

Most importantly, Shirley loved her family. She enjoyed family vacations in Santee Cooper Lakes, SC and in the Outer Banks, NC. She cherished her companion pets: Cayce, Kody, Holly, Henny, Smalls, and Rooster. Shirley was most proud of her grandson Owen's quarter midget racing career at MCQMRC in Phoenixville and his guitar solos with the Spring-Ford Jazz Band.

In addition to her loving husband of 57 years, Shirley is survived by her son: Ernest W. Conover, husband of Bonnie Baxter, of Royersford, grandson: Owen Conover; and a sister: Eleanor Connor, of California. She was preceded in death by siblings: Russell Stewart, Joseph Stewart, and Grace Haegele.
