Shirley M. (Beresford) Fulmer, age 89, wife of the late Christian E. Fulmer, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at home. She was a daughter of the late James Beresford, Sr. and Florence (Bumgardner) Beresford.

Mrs. Fulmer graduated high school in Erie, PA. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Phoenixville, where she was a choir member and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was active with Meals on Wheels, where she helped as a deliverer. Mrs. Fulmer enjoyed to knit, and also made a lot of her own clothing. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and son.

Mrs. Fulmer is survived by one son, David C. Fulmer, of Phoenixville; one brother, James Jr., wife of Miriam Beresford, of Erie, PA; two nieces and three nephews; and her caretaker John Althof, of Phoenixville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at St. John's Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City. Friends will be received from 9:15-10:15 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. John's Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
