Stanley J. "Stash" Kopistecki Sr., 83, husband of Eleanor L. (Ochs) Kopistecki, of Upper Providence, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 in his residence. Born on August 21, 1934 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Mary (Rakowski) and Ignatius Kopistecki.

Stash had been employed in road maintenance for Upper Providence Township. He also worked as a herdsman for the former Clay Hess Farm and helped at a local horse rescue farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on the farm with animals and watching sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Kopistecki is survived by his daughters, Teresa P., wife of Michael Kelsch, of Columbia Cross Roads and Kathleen Greer, of Elverson; grandchildren: Megan Kopistecki, wife of Ronald Gonzalez, of Jackson Heights, NY, David Kopistecki, of Mont Clare, Ella Kopistecki, of Narragansett, RI, Dawn Prouty, of Columbia Cross Roads, Timothy, husband of Kirsten Kelsch, of Columbia Cross Roads, Heidi Kelsch, of Muncy, and Heather Greer, of Elverson; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings: John, husband of Catherine Kopistecki, of Pottstown, Irene, wife of Michael Pavlik, of Pottstown and Marie Sayre, of Iowa. He was pre-deceased by his son: Stanley J. Kopistecki Jr.; and siblings: Louis, Joseph, Theresa and Dorothy Kopistecki.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:30 pm. Officiating will be the Rev. Franklin Gilliam and Deacon David Kubczak. Interment will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
