Obituary

Stanley J. Kordek, age 80, husband of the late Mary Beth (Smoyer) Kordek, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 after a brief illness at Paoli Hospital.
Born on May 17, 1941 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Stanley F. and Mary H. (Kryvosizika) Kordek.

Mr. Kordek attended Phoenixville High School, and served in the United States Navy from 1959-1962. As a dedicated and hard worker always determined to provide for his family, he retired from a maintenance position at the Kimberton Waldorf School. He was an avid artist that enjoyed drawing, and watercolor painting. He enjoyed reading, loved golf, and will be missed by all of his golf buddies. Mr. Kordek was a member of the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area.

Mr. Kordek is survived by three daughters, Susan E. Kordek, wife of Deno Voulis of Charlotte, NC, Melissa B. Kordek of Phoenixville, PA, and Megan J. Kordek of Pottstown, PA; two grandchildren, Holly A. Batzel and Darby Grace Kordek-Voulis; one brother, James, husband of Phyllis Kordek of SC; and three nieces, Jennifer, Kathy and Lindsay.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the health care team at Paoli Hospital - the nurses were compassionate warriors and they will be forever grateful .

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday evening, March 16, 2022 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral and burial services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area, 204 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
