Stephen J. Howell, 61, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home in Pottstown, PA. Born in Morrison, Illinois, he was a son of Diane (Howell) Gunnett, of Douglassville, and the late Louis J. Howell.

Mr. Howell was a member of King of Prussia Church of Christ and was employed by Valtech Corporation in Pottstown. He enjoyed golfing, watching college football and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia sports teams.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Howell is survived by his children, Carly Susan wife of Kyle Nagle, of Downingtown and Alex J. Howell, of Pottstown; grandson, Jackson Nagle; brothers, John Howell, of Arcola, Thomas husband of Rose Ann Howell, of King of Prussia, Andrew Howell, of Arcola; sister, Ellen wife of Chuck Wadsworth of Douglassville; step-father, Ralph Gunnett, of Douglassville; step-sisters, Carol Gunnett, of Iowa and Cheryl Gunnett, of Spring City; step-brother, Russell husband of Debbie Gunnett of Georgia; his former wife, Cindy Waters; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy J. Howell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Friday, September 21, 2012, at 3:00 pm, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Fletcher officiating. Friends will be received from 2:30-3:00 pm.
