Steve D. Spacek, 74, missionary
Steve D. Spacek, 74, husband of Martha (Parlane) Spacek of Central City, Nebraska (formerly Schwenksville, PA) died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at home.
Born in Tampa, Florida, he is the son of the late Michael S. Spacek and Florence R. (Bloom) Spacek. He was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He then attended the New Brunswick Bible Institute in Canada. He was a member of the Ebenezer Bible Church in Elverson, PA. He was a church planter, pastor, and ministry mentor for fifty years. He was the executive director of Help Ministries, Inc., Schwenksville and a board member of the IFCA International. Mr. Spacek enjoyed serving the Lord, others and his community. This was his passion and joy.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Spacek is survived by his children from his first wife, Beverly E. (Runyan) Spacek, his one son Michael E., husband of Rebecca (Ward) Spacek of Statesboro, Georgia; one daughter, Laurie A., wife of Donald Hine of Pottstown; brother Frank D. Spacek of Gilbertsville; one grandson Nathaniel P. Hine and adopted granddaughter Alexa B. (Ward) Spacek. Mr. Spacek was predeceased by two brothers, Gary Spacek and Glenn Spacek.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial celebration fellowship on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:30 am at the Ebenezer Bible Chapel, 289 Warwick Furnace Road, Elverson, PA 19520. A reception will follow in the Chapel. Burial will be held privately in the Ebenezer Bible Chapel Cemetery, Elverson.
