Steven Curtis Hartz, age 66, husband of Barbara A. (Bisbing) Hartz, of Spring City, PA, died Monday, December 26, 2016 in Phoenixville Hospital.
Born on February 11, 1950 in Ashland, PA, he was a son of the late Charles and Shirley (Kingston) Hartz. He was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. Mr. Hartz was the owner and operator of Valley Forge Arco. After selling his business, he worked for many years as a mechanic at Hansberry Enterprises in Spring City until retiring in 2010.
He was a Past President of Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member Ambucs, West Norriton Chapter for many years.
Mr. Hartz is survived by a Daughter, Dana M. Kqira and a Son, Curtis L. (Rebecca) Hartz; Two Step-Sons: Matthew (Robin Wagner) Hengen and Christopher (Judy Fitzcharles) Hengen; Three Sisters, Shirley A. (Larry) Jacobs, Cindy J. (Edward) Donahue, Janet L. Natale; Two Brothers: Larry C. Hartz and Robert J. (Kathy Guest) Hartz; Step-Brother, Jim Hartz, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hartz was pre-deceased by Step-Daughter, Sherrie L. Hengen, Granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Hengen, Great-Granddaugher, Aubrey Lynn McMillen, Brother, Raymond K. Hartz, Brother, Charles E. Hartz, III, Step-Sister, Nancy Hartz, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
