Susan Karen Bauer, beloved daughter of Patricia M. (Gowler) Bauer of Oaks, PA and the late Edward A. Bauer, succumbed to her illness at 12:12am on November 8th, 2022. Susan was born June 24th, 1967 to Carolyn Gayle Olmstead-Chiccino and Willard Calvin Mohr, Jr., and was later placed for adoption, a decision which helped guide the trajectory of Susan's life.

Susan graduated from the Norristown Area High School in 1985. She went on to earn her Associate's Degree in Fine Arts from Montgomery County Community College. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Art Therapy with honors from Rosemont College. Susan then continued at Rosemont College to earn her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology for Professional Licensure where she received multiple honors with both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Susan worked as a clinical psychotherapist at the Valley Forge Medical Center and Hospital in Norristown.

Susan was an accomplished artist and loved to dance. She taught ballroom and Latin dancing for years.

Susan is survived by her mother Patricia, sister Linda, wife of Robert Walters, her nephews Matthew and Justin, her niece Rebecca, her eternal friends Phillip and Patricia Gustin, Kimberly Grewell-Foxhall, Reva Burd Parnes, Sherry Gracia, Rebecca Daniels, and many others with whom Susan had the honor of sharing her life.

A memorial service for Susan will be held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church located at 2725 Egypt Rd in Audubon, PA on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11:00 am, followed by private internment. There will be a visitation in the church on Thursday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Barnstone Art for Kids, 388 W. Pothouse Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
