I fought this demon with all of my might! I am a bit of a control freak, so I wanted to write my own life review. Maybe I'll start a trend!

I was born on April 12, 1957 to my parents, Eleanor and John DiFrancesco, at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. Being the first-born child and daughter, I was lucky enough to be the apple of my father's eye. We laugh today when we watch our home movies as to how Dad was following me around with the camera no matter who was doing a jig in the background hoping to get his attention. He loved all his children-Maybe, just maybe, I demand too much attention? Are you chuckling? Thankfully, my parents sent me to Immaculate Heart of Mary grade school in Philadelphia. I am so grateful for the 8 years in Catholic School, because I sincerely believe that the foundation that I received during that time has been instrumental towards my faith and strength in fighting cancer.

During grade school, I was a bit of a teacher's (nun) pet. I had various jobs such as mimeographing all of the tests for the students, distributing pretzels to all the classrooms, a member of the choir and playing the guitar in the guitar Masses. It used to make me crazy watching this classmate Stephen play the 'C' chord throughout Every. Single. Song. After grade school, we moved up to Audubon, PA, which was then basically all farmland. I went to Methacton High School.

I graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I worked as a data-entry operator at Allstate, Computer Technician at Control Data, FORTRAN computer programmer at SEI, COBOL programmer at The Vanguard Group, and a Software QA specialist at SEI 2nd time around.

My hobbies include writing, blogging on Suzy's Soapbox and creating clay jewelry and trinket dishes. My favorite TV shows are Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Doc Martin.

My favorite place in the world is London.

Last, but not least, as you all know, I love everything CATS! Cats have brought me so much joy and love into my life. I fed the feral cats at my workplace for a long time.

During my life, I have been very lucky in meeting the best people who turned out to be my life-long friends, and who have been supporting me throughout my life and cancer journey. I have been so blessed with special people that have listened to 'my stories' and probably wanted to scream but did not! I tell my friends that you can't have everything in this life. Yes, a few do seem to have it. But, I DID GET the best friends that are always there for me and love me. Some people don't get that. I DID get 2 sisters to share my life with and did anything I asked of them. And I was fortunate to have great jobs with The Vanguard Group and SEI Investments for the majority of my working life. Because of these jobs, I met some amazing people. You don't get everything in life, but I'm grateful for what I did get every. single. day.

Some of the highlights of my life were the birth of my son C.J., shore weekends, trips, attending the Sorbonne University in Paris for a 6-week summer course, working in London on numerous occasions, family get-togethers, being with friends and quite frankly, the best ever: Eagles winning the Super Bowl! Sad, but true.

My dad and I started watching the Eagles together when I was six years old. My dad's treasures were his family, and he wouldn't have it any other way. I am grateful that I was lucky enough to have my son CJ, my mother and my father, my sisters Diane and Linda and my brothers John and Rob. I was lucky to have a great mom. Our mom made us a birthday cake every year and a home-cooked meal every day that we lived with her. I have always tried to do the same as my mom. We never saw eye to eye, but later realized that we may be a lot alike- hah. I love you Mom and Dad. My sisters Diane and Linda have been caring for me every step of the way, whilst (How's that for British!) going through their own personal challenges in life. Their support and love have been a constant source of strength and comfort for me. I love you both!

My son, C.J., has been my partner in crime fighting this cancer demon. From the beginning of this cancer journey, he has joined groups for metastasized breast cancer looking for helpful information from the existing cancer warriors as to which drug worked best for them according to their cancer cell's composition. He has given me critical information from their experiences helping me to ask the right questions at each juncture. This has not been easy on my son. It has been the two of us for a very long time, and this will be extremely difficult for him at my passing. I hope that my family and close friends will reach out to him as he navigates his life without his mom. I love you GOOT!

Thank you all for everything! Your rides to doctor's appointments, gifts, cards, food, flowers, texts, calls and comfort! Every bit of support! I could not have done this without my family and my good friends! Please do not reduce my life to my death. Speak my name. Tell my stories. Talk about our memories. PLEASE TALK to ME - I will hear you. Because this is how I can stay alive a little in this world. I will miss you all so so much. Please pray for my son and my soul. God knows I need it!!! hah I hope Heaven feels like a million bucks! (no comments! hah) If I can, I will visit and send signs!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Visitation B.V.M.,196 N Trooper Rd, Eagleville, PA 19403 on Thursday, September 10 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Reverend Robert M. Gross. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Norristown, PA. Friends will be received from 9AM-10:30AM at Visitation B.V.M..
