Sylvia Joan (Wade) Johnston, 72, wife of Howard R. Johnston, of Royersford, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2008, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.? Born in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late Howard E. and Helen L. (Adams) Wade.?
Mrs. Johnston was a 1954 graduate of Royersford High School.? She was employed for many years as a waitress at The Spot in Royersford, a manager at the former Rambo's TV in Spring City, and at Streamlight, in Eagleville, before her retirement as secretary of the Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce.? ?
She was a member of Providence Church of the Brethren, a Phillies and Eagles Fan, enjoyed traveling with her friends, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.?
In addition to her loving husband of 54 years, Mrs. Johnston is survived by daughter, Jacqueline Johnston of Limerick, sons Scott Johnston of Phoenixville and Dave Johnston of Pottstown, five grandchildren Brianna, Megan, Taylor, Sarah, and Anthony, two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Faye, sisters, Helen Latshaw and Laura Ryan, both of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. ???
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at 11 AM.?
