Tammy Lynn (Strunack) Klotzbach, age 58 wife of the late Kurt E. Klotzbach and Scott A. Levan, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, with her family by her side. Born on February 28, 1964 in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Calvin "Mike" and Doris (Reese) Strunack.

A 1982 graduate of Pottstown High School, Tammy worked in her grandparent's grocery store, Reece's West End Market in Stowe, prior to her employment with Pottstown School District and The Pottstown Mercury. In May of 1999, she came to work with her husband, Kurt, at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home in Phoenixville and Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home in Royersford, a position she held in the family business until her untimely death. Tammy was a woman who would immerse herself in her work, volunteerism and her community.

She was a member and constant supporter of St. John's Lutheran Church, served as a board member of the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville, President of the Rotary Club of Phoenixville, board member and President of the Woman's Club of Royersford, President of the Phoenixville Business and Professional Women, First Vice President and twice the Chair of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Secretary of the Phoenixville Senior Center, Treasurer of the Keystone Steam Engine Fire Company No. 1 Boyertown Ladies Auxiliary, board member and President of the Soroptimist Club of Phoenixville, Governor of the North Atlantic Region of the Soroptimist International, and was crucial in the securing of The House. She volunteered with Kurts Krew for the Relay For Life of Phoenixville and later with Scott for the Relay For Life of Boyertown. Tammy was very instrumental in the organization and implementation of many golf outings, galas, regional state and local conferences, bag bingos, fashion and art shows, auctions, dinners, fundraisers and the list goes on and on and on. She was never afraid to ask for help or get her hands dirty to benefit an organization, their mission and those being served.

For her hard work and dedication to the community that she so loved, Tammy was named the 2005 Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Citizen of the Year, received the 2007 Phoenixville InterService Club Ambassador Award and was the recipient of the 2016 Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian of the Year Award. Throughout her successes and accolades, she remained humble, as her time and energy was never given for any reason other then to improve the lives of those around her.

With what little time Tammy had left in her day, she loved to spend it with family and friends. She enjoyed rocking on her front porch watching the town go by or relaxing in her hot tub. She enjoyed traveling, watching the sunrise and sunset, relaxation in OCMD - her happy place and dining out. There was no doubt that she was the matriarch of the family, as she loved preparing family meals and was always willing to host a picnic, birthday or setup a Dogwood Parade porch party.

With everything Tammy accomplished, the light of her life was her granddaughters. Whether it was Nanny week at the beach, babysitting in the office, a ride here or there, attending a dance competition or recital, cheering on a quarter midget race, or just a quick drive by to drop something off that she picked up for the girls, there was nothing she loved more then her granddaughters.

Tammy is survived Kurt's sons and their families: Joshua, April, Brynn and Morgan Klotzbach, of Phoenixville and Andrew, Tara and Blair Klotzbach, of Spring City; Scott's children and family: Jennifer, Scott and Addison Geiswite, of Davenport, FL, and David Levan, of Boyertown; siblings: Cindy Powanda and Michael Strunack; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Kurt; and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sherry L. Davidson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 am, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Interment will be held in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge. Friends will be received from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Friday evening at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville and on Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:45 am at the Church.
