Obituary

Teri Ann Collins Kilpatrick
May 18, 1967 - September 18, 2022
A Life Cut Short by Breast Cancer

Teri Ann Collins Kilpatrick of Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home September 18, 2022, and entered into the open arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Teri was the beloved wife of David Kilpatrick, Jr., and mother of three children: Benjamin, Zachary (Hannah), and Chloe; and daughter-in-law of David Kilpatrick of Florida and Monda Holleger (Randy) of Limerick.

Teri was not only a beloved member and faithful attender at Valley Forge Baptist in Collegeville, but she also served as church secretary and later executive assistant to Sr. Pastor Scott Wendal for almost 30 years. She loved the Lord, and she loved the many challenges that came her way as the church grew from 90 members in 1989 to over 1,200. Teri had a sweet spirit and calming smile. She found great joy in serving the Lord singing in the church choir, singing special music solos, participating in community events, and working with the teens. Teri loved to travel and organized trips for the church family to overseas destinations including Israel, Egypt, Greece and London. Her attention to detail was evident to all who traveled with her. In recent years, Teri accepted a new challenge and served as recording secretary of the Perkiomen Valley Regional Planning Commission and Lower Frederick Township Board of Supervisors to help put her two boys through college.

Teri was born in Vallejo, California and grew up in the Ozarks of Arkansas with her parents Danny and Carol Collins and her siblings Tom Haseltine, Tim Collins (deceased), Tess Collins Herring, Tina Collins Taitano (Adam) and many nieces and nephews.

Teri earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English and taught Junior and Senior High School for five years in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where she met David, the love of her life, on a blind date in November 1988. They married in June of 1990 with a shared commitment to raise their children with a clear knowledge of the free gift of eternal life offered through Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)

With her "gift of hospitality" Teri made her home a safe, loving, and special place for her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, singing, organizing large projects, vacationing with the family, going on special outings with her friends and watching movies on the sofa with David and the kids. She was quick to praise the Lord for the smallest blessings in her life.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11am at Valley Forge Baptist, 616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA. Family and friends may visit starting at 10 am. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements are being made through Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be considered in Teri's memory toward Chloe Kilpatrick's educational fund and future needs in care of: 1925 Glen Eagles Drive, Pottstown, PA. 19464.
