Thomas Michael Hennessy, Jr., age 28, of Spring City, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born on June 5, 1988 in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was a son of Thomas M. Hennessy of Spring City, PA and Kimberly (Rauh) Hennessy of Phoenixville.
Michael was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, where he played soccer and was the Captain of the lacrosse team and league MVP. He graduated magna cum laude from Ithaca College, and was working on his Masters Degree from Saint Joseph's University. While in college he played lacrosse, and while living in Germany for a time, he coached a professional lacrosse team. Michael was known to be kind, caring, and sensitive, and enjoyed reading and surfing. He currently worked as a financial analyst, and had a bright and promising future ahead of himself. Michael was loved by many and will be sorely missed
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by two siblings, James P. Hennessy of Spring City, PA and Kelley N. Hennessy of Phoenixville, PA; maternal grandparents, Rudy and Linda Rauh and Shirley and Richard Linnenbaugh; and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Hugh J. Dougherty. Burial will be held in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:45 am Wednesday at the church.
