Thomas R. Roberts, age 71, husband of Barbara H. (Bracken) Roberts and the late Brenda (Stone) Roberts, of Dover, DE, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Kent General Hospital, Dover. Born in Franklin, NC, he was a son of the late Joseph "Julius" and Ruby (Williams) Roberts.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Gretna, VA, and served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the IBEW Local 126 as a lineman. Known for his entertaining spirit and humor, Mr. Roberts enjoyed cooking, crabbing, fishing and hunting. He also liked to golf and go bowling.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Roberts is survived by two children, Mel Grant, husband of Carolyn Roberts of East Coventry Township and Tracy M., wife of John Williams of Savannah, GA; five step-children, Robert Marsh of Smyrna, DE, Diana, wife of Rick Quinter of Birdsboro, PA, Pam, wife of Layton Finkbiner of Exton, PA, David, husband of Sue Marsh of Elverson, and Melanie, wife of Jamie Thompson of Birdsboro, PA; one sister, Frances, wife of Calvin Boyd of Gastonia, NC; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind countless best friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Roberts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Ray Hardee. Burial will follow in the Parker Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday, January 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM.
