Thomas F. Spadel, age 38, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Born on October 14, 1981 in Meadowbrook, PA, he was the beloved son of Maria T. McAuley of Hamburg, PA.
Tommy was a longtime and valued employee of Sears Logistic Services in Limerick, where he worked as a production supervisor. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. Tommy was a bridge between people. He defined what it is to love and support his family and friends in all things. The joy that resonated from him in the company of those whom he loved was contagious and can be seen on the many faces of those of us who have had our pictures taken by him, or with him. Tommy always took pictures, and while we remember him forever, we keep in mind that this was his way of remembering us. A light in the world has gone out, but its strength is reflected strongly in the spirit of those who hold his memory.
In addition to his mother, Tommy is survived by three brothers, Alex Spadel of Philadelphia, PA, Jonathan Spadel of Collegeville, PA, and Robert "Bobby" Spadel, Jr. of Denton, TX. Great-nephew of Carmella McAuley of Philadelphia, PA, and Edward McAuley of Mount Laurel, NJ. Uncle to Amelia Marie, Maleena, Steven Jr., Brandon, Dominick, Madelyn Rose, Eleanor Jane, and Godfather to Colette Jean. He was preceded in death by his Nana and Gramps, Bernice and Ronald McAuley.
Due to current guidelines, funeral and burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. However, the family wishes to acknowledge all those who shared their love for Tommy. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to allow all those whose lives were touched by Tommy to properly and safely gather.
