Thomas A. Weiss, 90, of Royersford, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Phoenixville Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Brodzinski) Weiss.
Born on May 18, 1925 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Valeria (Smialowicz) Weiss. He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army during the World War II. Tom fought in German and Belgium at the Battle of Bulge, where he earned the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.
Mr.Weiss worked at Diamond Glass for many years until retiring as Superintendent of Maintenance. He was also a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church.
He is survived two sons: Thomas R., husband of Rita Weiss of Schwenksville, PA; John F., husband of Beth Weiss of Longwood, FL; Daughter-in-law, Debbie (Weidner) Weiss Kolmus; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Bryan W. Weiss and brother, Edward Weiss.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Walnut Street and Lewis Road, Royersford, PA on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Burial will be held in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Monday at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crozer-Chester Foundation, Crozer Chester Hospital, One Medical Center Boulevard, Upland, PA 19013.
