Obituary

Truman P. Emery, age 90, formerly of Spring City, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the Coventry Manor, South Coventry Township. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Jay and Alice (Leininger) Emery.

Mr. Emery was a former member of the Windsor Baptist Church in Eagle, PA. For four years, from 1942-1946, he served in the Army Air Corps. Mr. Emery worked and retired as a union carpenter for over 30 years. He built many homes in the Kimberton and surrounding areas. He enjoyed hunting, and enjoyed watching football as a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Mr Emery is survived by one niece, Barbara Shoemaker; and seven nephews, Craig, Ralph, Warren, Karl, Floyd, and Fred Emery, and Jay Trego. He was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Trego, and two brothers, Ralph and Paul Emery.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Donald Eisenhower. Burial will follow in the Vincent Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Heartland Hospice, 460 Norristown Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
