Valerie Rose Gervasi, age 21, of Phoenixville PA, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Born on May 4, 2000 in Pottstown, PA, she is the daughter of Anthony R., husband of Maureen Gervasi of Malvern, PA and Teresa (Spishock) Lang, wife of Steven of Phoenixville, PA.
Valerie attended Phoenixville schools, as well as West Chester East High School. She was a dedicated, diligent worker and had been employed as a server in various area restaurants.
Valerie's true love was traveling and she was fearless. In 2019 she ventured to Canada and shortly after, went backpacking through Europe, both times traveling alone. She was currently outfitting her Jeep and preparing for another solo venture, a road trip across the United States.
An amazingly talented artist, Valerie ran her own Etsy store (Valerie G Artistry). She enjoyed sketching, fluid painting and doing pet portraits. She was growing her business and did many commissioned portraits. She had dreams of one day opening her own art gallery. She very much loved her family, friends, her many plants and her pet gecko, Neptune.
Valerie was gifted with a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed sharing that gift with others. She could often be found performing during open mic nights at Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville. She wrote and read her own spoken word poems and was teaching herself to play the ukulele and guitar.
In addition to her parents, Valerie is survived by one brother, Vincent M. Gervasi of King of Prussia; her paternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Gervasi of West Chester, PA; step-sisters, Kelly Cox and Megan Cox; and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
