Valinda Ann "Lynn" Degler, on Thursday evening, May 13, 2010 at home, age 66 and wife of Barry L. Degler from Phoenixville, PA. Lynn was a dedicated high school teacher of statistics and math for over 20 years. While teaching in the Great Valley School District she was pleased to have sponsored a successful Women in Science and Technology club.

Music always gave Lynn a lot of joy. She studied piano for most of her young life and played handbells in several church choirs. Always a churchgoer, Lynn became very active with the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville when she retired.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Barry of 43 years, and her three daughters: Abby, Phoenix AZ; Becky and partner Carla, Oxford England; and Jessica, Queens NY; as well as her sister, Florence Alvino, Kennett Square PA.

A memorial service of music will be held on Wednesday evening, May 19, 2010 at 7:30PM at the First United Methodist Church, 865 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
