Obituary

Verna L. (Fetterman) Severson, 78, of Royersford, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2015, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was the widow of Harry C. “Skip” Severson, who passed away in 1992. Born in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late Charles R. and Ella (Tarter) Fetterman.

From the late 70’s through the mid 80’s, Mrs. Severson was a member of the Spring-Ford High School Band Auxiliary. She had also been a den mother based out of Royersford Methodist Church and played a major role in the Royersford Centennial Committee. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping at Wal Mart, running errands for her sisters, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Severson is survived by her children, Victoria, wife of Tom Ireland, of San Carlos, CA, Sandy, wife of Michael Karst, of Douglassville and Scott Sr., husband of Ann Severson, of Royersford; siblings, Pearl, wife of Joseph Sparano, of Phoenixville, Arlene Cory, of Norristown, Mable Schutz, of Phoenixville, Virginia Domarasky, of Phoenixville, Sara Rudzik, of Phoenixville and Gloria Hatfield, of Chester Springs; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Brian, Deanna and Bailey Karst and Angel, Scott Jr. and Catie Severson; six great grandchildren, Taitum, Isabella, Bianca, Ella Marie, Teagan and Sophia; one great grandchild on the way, who’s name will be announced after birth; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith Severson and her brother, Richard, wife of Sandie Fetterman, of Royersford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 11:00 am, at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Eric H. Woodworth. Friends will be received from 9:30-11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made in Verna’s name to the Salvation Army, 137 King Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
