Vincenza N. Jacobs, 84, formerly of Raritan, New Jersey.? Vincenza (Vinnie) Nancy Jacobs of Royersford, PA passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving daughters.? She was born on September 19, 1924 in Bound Brook, New Jersey, the daughter of Lorenzo and Rose Valentino. She was the oldest of 11 siblings. She married her husband Robert (Red) Jacobs on December 1, 1946 in Somerville, N.J. She and Red resided in Raritan, New Jersey for 44 years.? She started working at a very young age helping to support her family.? While raising her daughters, she worked for Deals, then for the Somerville Inn, and retired from Jelco at age 62.? She valued quality family time and enjoyed traveling with her husband, daughters and grandsons.? She de lighted in spending time with her grandsons and later great grandchildren.? When she had spare time, she enjoyed reading, taking walks, crafts and volunteer social work.??
Surviving are her two daughters, Janice Jacobs of Royersford, PA, Claire Cichone and her husband Edward of Lebanon, NJ; two grandsons David and Edward Cichone, Edwards's wife Jennifer, and their children Evan and Emma; sisters Carmella Cassaro and Dolores Fritzinger; brothers Victor, Joseph and Louis Valentino.? She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jacobs in July 2005; four sisters, Marie Dalassandro, Josephine Vernau, Eleanor Powlish and Ann Ynesta; and brother, Larry Valentino.? Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.?
