Viola Suzanne O'Malley
Aiken, SC - Sue O'Malley, 85, entered into rest Thursday, November 3, 2016.
She was born Viola Suzanne Alexy on May 4, 1931 in Penn Square, Pennsylvania.
She was married in 1950 to Richard Edward O'Malley, Sr.; they were married for 46 years until Rich's death in 1996. They lived all of their married life in Montgomery County. In 2014, Sue moved to Aiken, SC to live with her oldest daughter, Pat and her husband Bob.
She is survived by 1 sister, Betty Janet Alexy Davis of Monkton, MD, 1 brother, Alfred K. Alexy, Jr. and his wife Anna May of Phoenixville, PA: 2 sons and 3 daughters: Richard Jr. and his wife Linda of Medford, OR; Patricia and her husband Robert Machulis of Aiken, SC; John Sr. and his wife Donna of Longview, WA, Diane and her husband Joseph Sakal of Phoenixville, PA; Laura McKenna of Kimberton, PA; 12 grandchildren: Richard III, Stacey, Jeramy, Joan, Andrew, Michael, John Jr., Stephen, Jim, Michael, Patrick, Sarah; 8 great-grandchildren: Kamiryn, John III, Emily, Tiffany, Isaac, Rowan, Oscar, Gabriel; and 2 great-great-grandchildren: Quinlan Scott and Emma Alexy.
Sue was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 20 years, where she played the piano for the Nursery and sang in the Choir. She received The Richard G. Nelson Distinguished Service Award. Feb 7, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Spring City, PA on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016. Family Visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am and Memorial Service at 11:00am.
