Virginia J. Bliss, age 85, wife of John J. Bliss, of Limerick, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in ManorCare Health Services - Pottstown. Born on August 27, 1935 in St. Clair, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Nellie (Carver) Fox.

Mrs. Bliss worked as a nurses aide, first at Phoenixville Hospital for 24 years, followed by four years at the former Johnson Home, and then several more years at a local nursing facility. She and her husband were inseparable, and she enjoyed hunting and fishing both with him and the children. She was a girl scout leader when her daughters were younger, and traveled extensively for excursions with them. Mrs. Bliss was a life member of the Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company in Spring City, where she also enjoyed bowling in several leagues.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bliss is survived by five children, Bruce J., husband of the late Jacqueline Bliss of Lehigh, FL, Colleen J., wife of Michael Benner Sr. of Limerick, PA, Doreen J. Post, companion of Brian Horning of Bechtelsville, PA, Todd W., husband of Melissa Bliss of Royersford, PA, and Risa V., wife of Donald Geihsler Sr. of Spring City, PA; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Bliss was preceded in death by two sons, Vaughn F. Fox and Brian J. Bliss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in the Parker Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, Parker Ford, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
