Virginia L. Greer, age 91, wife of the late Harold B. Greer, who preceded her three weeks prior, of Elverson, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in the Ambler Extended Care Center. Born on January 27, 1931 in Spring City, PA she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Susan R. Himes.

A 1948 graduate of Warwick High School, Virginia's studies focused on home economics. She was a lifelong dedicated and faithful member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Knauertown, where she previously served as Church Treasurer and sang in the choir. For most of her life, her focus was her family, but for several years she worked at the Spring City Knitting Company. This led to a passion for sewing, making many outfits and stuffed animals for herself and family over the years. Virginia enjoyed working in her flower gardens, and especially loved roses and lilacs. She also took pride in canning homegrown vegetables and making homemade applesauce. Among her other hobbies were doll collecting, reading, and doing word search puzzles.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Kathy, wife of Brian Greaves, of East Norriton; daughter-in-law Kitty Greer, of Elverson; granddaughter Heather N. Greer, of Elverson; and sister, Annalene, wife of the late Howard Greer, of Chilhowie, VA. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard B. Greer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at St. Peter United Church of Christ, 1920 Ridge Road, Pottstown, PA on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Pastor Peter Detterline. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Saint Peters. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at St. Peter United Church of Christ, in Detterline Hall.
