Walter B. McAfee, age 85, husband of Ann (Strickland) McAfee, of S. Coventry Township, died late Sunday evening, July 13th, 2008 at home.? Born in Nantmeal, he was a son of the late Jacob L., and Annie (Thomas) McAfee.? Mr. McAfee was a graduate of the former Warwick High School.? A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army during World War II.? Mr. McAfee worked for over 30 years at the Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in Eagle, before retiring in 1983.? He was a member of the Nantmeal United Methodist Church all of his life.? Mr. McAfee was a member of the Moose Lodge in Downingtown, the American Legion in Spring City, and the Amvets in Sussex County, DE.?
In addition to his wife of 65 years, Mr. McAfee is survived by; one daughter; Barbara A., wife of Don Dickinson, of Charlotte, NC, one son; Kenneth W., husband of Carol (Favinger) McAfee, of Elverson, PA, ten grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.? Mr. McAfee was pre-deceased by one son; James M. McAfee, husband of Kathleen McAfee, of Elverson, one granddaughter, and one great grandson.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Nantmeal United Methodist Church, 359 Nantmeal Road, Glenmoore, PA 19343,? on Friday morning, July 18th, 2008 at 10:30AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Eric D. Ressler.? Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.? The viewing will be held on Thursday evening at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA from 7:00 - 8:30PM.?
