Walter A. "Bill" Symanski, age 81, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born on July 11, 1939 in Conshohocken, he was a son of the late Helen (Popalowski) and Walter A. Symanski, Sr.

Bill served for the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had been employed for many years at Quaker Chemical in Conshohocken, but continued working in the facilities department at the Spring Valley YMCA for a number of years after his retirement.

Bill was an avid fisherman who loved trout fishing along with fishing for weakies and blues in the Delaware Bay at Fortescue, New Jersey. He thoroughly enjoyed vacations to Fortescue, for fishing and Wildwood, for the Irish Festival and Rock N Roll weekends.

Bill was a fan of Oklahoma and Notre Dame Football as well as the Boston Red Sox.

Known as Walter, Walt, Bill, Uncle Bill or Ja Ja, he is survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers: Stanley and Edward Symanski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Limerick Garden of Memories, Good Shepherd Chapel, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Jack S. Tomkinson. Friends will be received from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Walter's name to the Spring Valley YMCA, 19 W. Linfield Trappe Road, Limerick, PA 19468.
