Willard Lee "Willie" Sallad Sr., 64, of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011, in the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Eastern Region, Philadelphia. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Jim Flagg and Magnolia Salad.

Mr. Sallad was a member of the Heart of God Family Worship Center in Pottstown. He was a man of great faith. He loved the Lord and enjoyed witnessing to others. He was not afraid of talking to others about the Lord.

Willie was employed by Indian Valley Trucking as a truck driver. He loved trucking and traveled West to East, North to South all over America. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool, and was very supportive of his children.

Mr. Sallad is survived by six daughters: Lisa Sallad of Camden, LaRhonda Mitchell of Phoenixville, Victoria wife of Charles Hughes of Phoenixville, Nicole Sallad of Phoenixville, Jessica O'Toole of Phoenixville, and Stephanie Sallad of Phoenixville; four sons: Willard Sallad Jr. of Phoenixville, Ken husband of Tina McCulley of Pottstown, Nathan husband of Nikki Dougherty of Limerick, and Josh White of Phoenixville; sister: Patricia Sallad of Phoenixville; brother: Joseph Sallad of Phoenixville; twenty grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Melvin and Nathan Sallad.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Bethel Baptist Church, 412 Fairview Street, Phoenixville, on Friday, March 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael R.C. Anthony officiating. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Church.
