William A. Clemens Sr., age 85, husband of Dana (Musterman) Clemens, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Golden Living Center, Phoenixville. Born in Annapolis, MD, he was a son of the late Lee Frederick and Catherine (Wyrow) Clemens.

Mr. Clemens served in the United States Marine Corp, the Merchant Marines, and the United States Coast Guard. He and his wife both attended St. Mary's High School in Annapolis, MD, where he was Class President all four years. He graduated from Bucknell University, where he was the President of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was in the industrial rubber business for 50 years, retiring at age 80. Mr. Clemens was active with St. Ann Church in Phoenixville from 1964-1998, where he served as the President of the Home and School, Captain of the Lector and Bingo Committee, and was President of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church beginning in 1998. Mr. Clemens enjoyed hunting and camping, and was an avid golfer. Most of all, he was a great husband and father who loved to have a good time.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Clemens is survived by five children, Jeanne C., wife of Peter Hamilton of Reading, PA, Jane L., wife of Martin Lintott of Charlestown, Susan A. Lally of Reading, PA, Patricia G. Seigel of St. Peters, PA, and William A. Clemens Jr. and Lynne Schreiber of Annapolis, MD; three siblings, Rita, wife of the late Ernest Staley of Salt Lake City, UT, Kathryn Echard of Annapolis, MD, and Robert A. Clemens of Annapolis, MD; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and twenty-one nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Friends will be received in the Chapel from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Church, 504 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, Pa.
