William B. Drummond, 61, of Phoenixville, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Penn Medicine Hospice at Chester County, West Chester. Born on February 14, 1958 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Rhoda (Barlow) and Robert E. Drummond.
Bill was a graduate of the former Northern Chester County Technical School and was incredibly skilled mechanically. He had a love for cars and dragsters and his favorite times were spent at the drag races at Maple Grove.
Although Bill made some bad decisions, he did make some great decisions and was a good soul. He was charitable, sometimes even to his own detriment, and took care of his mother until the time of her passing.
Bill is survived by his brother: John N., husband of Ann Marie Drummond; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Robert B. "Barry" Drummond.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. If Bill could leave one lasting message, it would be about the dangers of alcohol and how quickly it can get its grasp on a person. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an alcohol abuse charity of choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
