William Fletcher Grover

Lansing NY, Fletcher Grover, of 34 Ridge Road, died at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, on Tuesday November 24th, at the age of 56, from complications of a liver transplant. He was a son of William and Helenrae Grover, Phoenixville, PA. He is survived by long time companion, Jackie O'Connell, his children, Miles and his wife Sonya, daughters Lauren and Sarah Grover, and his grandchild, Julien; his brothers and sister, Greg and wife Phyllis, John C. (Chris) and his wife Barbara, and sister Julie Grover.

A 1971 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Pottstown, PA, Fletcher was a member of the Baptist Church of Phoenixville. He was employed for the last 23 years at Pleasant Valley Electric Company in Ithaca, NY. He was an accomplished musician with several bands, including Stark Raven and, Free n' Easy. Born and raised in Phoenixville, PA, Fletcher was an avid Civil War Historian who studied and greatly enjoyed visiting Civil War sites. He enjoyed summers in the sun at Cayuga Lake, boating, jet skiing, and fishing. His wonderful spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Phoenixville Baptist Church, Gay and Church Streets, Phoenixville, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, 248 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460, to Strong Memorial Hospital Transplant Team, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642, or to a charity of your choice.
