William J. Grill, age 77, beloved husband of Linda A. (Kieffer) Grill, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in the Southeastern Veterans' Center in Spring City, PA. Born on November 6, 1947, in Philadelphia, he was the cherished son of the late Margaret (Minahan) and William F. Grill.

Bill grew up in Lafayette Hill and was a proud graduate of St. Matthew's High School in Conshohocken. Bill honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1969, stationed in Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart for his bravery along with the Bronze Star for heroic achievements. In addition, Bill earned 3-stars on his Aircrew Combat Wings for completing three successful combat missions. After his service, he embarked on a career as a union electrician with the IBEW Local 98. He was known to be very handy and generous with his time. Bill was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Church in Royersford, a strong supporter of the Disabled American Veterans as well as an active participant in the VFW in Trappe where he enjoyed playing in many dart leagues over the years.

In his leisure time, Bill found joy in the great outdoors, particularly hunting and creating memories at the family cabin in Tioga County. Bill enjoyed playing and watching sports and had an affinity for country music including artists such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash & Hank Williams Jr. Bill loved dogs, most notably his three family golden retrievers Nugget, Dusty and most recently, Woodrow. As a loving father, husband, grandpop, and great-grandpop, he was dedicated to his family, never missing any of his children's or grandchildren's sporting events. Known affectionately as "Poppy," the most important aspect of his life was the time he spent surrounded by loved ones.

In addition to his devoted wife of 53 years, Bill is survived by his daughter Denise Grill and his son Bill, married to Susan Grill. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his (6) grandchildren: Stephen, husband of Morgan Mack; Kaelen Grater; Kieren Grater; Everly Grill; Will Grill; and Julia Grill, as well as his great-granddaughter, Loralie Mack. Bill is also survived by his (4) siblings: Kathleen, wife of Jim Blessing; Michael, husband of the late Judy Grill; Robert, husband of Bonita Grill; and Joseph, husband of Michelle Grill; along with many treasured nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill's funeral mass on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, located at Walnut Street and Lewis Road in Royersford. The service will be officiated by Tadeusz Gorka, with inurnment to follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends may visit from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford.
