William M. Grover, age 91, husband of the late Helenrae (Mossie) Grover, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in his residence. Born on September 10, 1930 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Julia (Yeager) and George U. Grover.
Bill was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, where he played in the band. He had been employed in customer service for Great Valley Industries.
Bill was a long-time member of GraceCrossing Community Church and along with his wife, was involved with the Forge Theater. Bill was a life master in bridge and ran bridge games at the Phoenixville Senior Center. He was an avid photographer, who several years ago captured photos during high school sporting events for the former Daily Republican newspaper. Bill was a member of the Clipper's Club and a passionate local sports team fan, especially of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
Mr. Grover is survived by three children: George Raymond and his wife Phyllis, of Conowingo, MD, John Christopher Grover and his wife Barbara, of Phoenixville, PA and Julia K.L. Grover and her wife Betty, of North Carolina; brother, John Grover, of Washington D.C.; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by one son: William Fletcher Grover.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill's memorial service at GraceCrossing Community Church, 248 Church Street, Phoenixville, on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel E. McDowell. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday at the Church.
