Obituary

William C. Lewis, 77, of Limerick, PA passed away on Monday morning, January 31, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Etta B. (Brower) Lewis.

He was born in Phoenixville to the late Robert and Grace (Fortune) Lewis. He attended Phoenixville Schools. A US Army Veteran, he served as a Sergeant in Company D, 761st Tank Battalion during the Korean War. Bill was employed for many years as a line-leader at Pennco of Oaks until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he was a bus driver for Custer's Garage.

In addition to his wife of fifty-six years, he is survived by his children: Etta M. Casler, companion of Dennis Levengood, of Royersford; W. Charles Lewis, Jr. husband of Linda D., of Lancaster; Robert R. Lewis husband of Susan J., of Philadelphia; and Stephen R. Lewis husband of Lynne M., of Stowe; grandchildren: Carri (Lewis) wife of Derek Sola, and Gregory C. Lewis, Jennifer, Brian, Ian and Eric Lewis and Robert G. Casler; great-grandchildren: Jasmine Lewis, Lakelyn and Koen Sola, and Kaitlynn Gittle; sister, Kathleen Tobias, widow of Kenneth, of Sunbury and Robert Lewis, husband of Eleanor, of Delaware. He was also predeceased by sisters: Shirley Wise and Joan Tobias.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 527 Plymouth Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
