William L. "Bill" Styer, 67, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 peacefully at home. He was born in Phoenixville Hospital to the late Vernon and Jeanette (Bradley) Styer.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and 1964 graduate of Ursinus College. He also served in the National Guard. He worked at Jones Motor Co. in the office department for many years, then retired from Southeastern Postal facility after almost twenty years.
Bill's hobbies included farming, making hay, and raising cattle. He was especially fond of traveling to Lancaster County and buying fruits, vegetables and flowers for his stand in front of his home. He was fondly known to many as the "Tomato Man".
He is survived by many cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his service on Friday at 11:00 AM at East Vincent U.C.C., 282 Hill Church Rd., Spring City, PA 19475. Officiating will be Rev. Kate Davidheiser. Viewing will be from 9-11 AM at the church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to East Vincent UCC at the above address.
