Obituary

William C. Wright, 89, husband of Virginia M. (Moyer) Wright, of Phoenixville, passed away on Saturday evening, September 13, 2014, in the Sanatoga Center. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Verna (Moyer) and William C. Wright Sr.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a recipient of a Bronze Star . He was a faithful member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Phoenixville, where he had been a member of the Consistory, former Chairman of the Property Committee and drove the Church van.

Mr. Wright had been employed as a foreman for Stroehman Bros. and enjoyed gardening and wood working.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mr. Wright is survived by his daughters, Cheryl, wife of Anthony Amanto, of Phoenixville and June Wright, of Phoenixville; grandson, Jonathan Amanto; and sister, Nancy Wright. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and John Wright.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the St. John’s U.C.C., 315 Gay Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
