Obituary

Willy Chenco, Age 87, husband of Rachel (Hartwick) Chenco, of Phoenixville, PA, formerly, of Ann Arbor, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, October 11, 2009. He went to sleep at his home and woke in his heavenly home. Willy was born on March 11, 1922, in Prague, Czech Republic, the son of of the late Wassilj Maljuschenko and H. Schevchenko. He came to the United States in 1950, following WW II during which he lost contact with his entire family. He worked most of his life as an executive chef, having been trained at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Mr. Chenco is survived by One Son; Bill (Mary) of Phoenixville, Two Daughters, Sonya (Victor) Shiner of Summerville, S.C., Brenda (Brian) Hallquist of Savage, MN, Seven Grandchildren, Raymond and Barry Shiner, Jessica Chenco, Kathryn (Chenco) Kohler, Dustin Chenco, Jennifer and Emily Stiegler, Four Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Jack A. Mason. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City, PA. Friends will be received from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Valley Forge Christian College, 1401 Charlestown Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
